Looked at a number of tour organisers for our family trip to Sri Lanka and very glad we chose Luxurious Lanka. Jagath put together an incredible two-week tour of south east Sri Lanka for two of us in early 2020, but unfortunately the Covid 19 pandemic struck one month before our departure. The boutique hotels were just as exciting as the historic sites. The medical emergency and other economic difficulties in Sri Lanka have kept us away in the last two years. Although our personal circumstances will further keep us away in the short-term, we still intend to take up the same tour at some point in the future. Excellent and very reliable travel company! I traveled the month of August 2022 with adult family, our party of 4 had an amazing time in beautiful sri Lanka! We were able to experience nature, wildlife, and the lovely culture. The trip was well organized, the driver very knowledgable and experienced, we were comforatable and safe always, with great hotel rooms and views, and excellent food and service. From the beautiful mountains, to the ancient history of world unesco heritage sites, to the jungles and waterfalls, and the pristine palm lined beaches, Sri Lanka was stunning, gorgeous, welcoming, and delicious! My 14year old son and I had a fantastic nine day trip exploring Sri Lanka. We climbed Adam’s Peak (a genuine highlight - get there 45mins before sunrise, not for sunrise), visited Sigiriya (another highlight), stayed in a jungle treehouse, did other climbs and hikes, saw wild elephants, monkeys and other wildlife, ate magnificently and finished up with a couple of days at the beach on the south coast. Amba Estate was a perfect place to stay in Ella with excellent food and lots to do for a father and son. We both felt safe the whole trip (the popular media in Australia painted a pretty turbulent picture which we didn’t personally experience), people were incredibly friendly and helpful and both Jagath and Basil (our driver for the week and a complete gentleman) were just brilliant in helping us decide where to go (and where not to) - even including finding a TV to watch the AFL grand final in a jungle village near where we were staying. ’m a woman in my 20s, and before this three week trip I had absolutely no traveling experience. Needless to say I was a little nervous. But I had nothing to worry about.
