Dambulla

Dambulla lies in Sri Lanka’s central region, about 150 km from Colombo, forming a key cultural stop within the island’s historic “Cultural Triangle.” It is best known for the UNESCO-listed Dambulla Cave Temple (Golden Temple of Dambulla), a vast rock sanctuary filled with ancient Buddha statues and vivid mural paintings dating back over 2,000 years.
