Day 1: Arrival in Sri Lanka – Negombo Hotel - Jetwing Blue

Meet your chauffeur-guide at Bandaranaike International Airport and transfer to Negombo. Settle into your hotel before visiting the lively Negombo Fish Market in the evening.

Day 2: Negombo to Sigiriya – Hiriwaduna Village - Hotel - Lake Lodge Boutique Hotel Sigiriya

Travel inland to Sigiriya, located within Sri Lanka’s Cultural Triangle. In the afternoon, enjoy a Hiriwaduna village experience and discover the rural landscapes and traditional way of life surrounding Sigiriya.

Day 3: Sigiriya Lion Rock and Wildlife Safari - Hotel - Lake Lodge Boutique Hotel Sigiriya

Explore the ancient Sigiriya Lion Rock, including its landscaped gardens, historic frescoes and summit ruins. Later, take a private jeep safari in Minneriya, Kaudulla or Hurulu Eco Park, selected according to current wildlife conditions

Day 4: Sigiriya to Kandy via Dambulla - Hotel - Castle Hill Bungalow Kandy

Leave Sigiriya and visit the historic Dambulla Cave Temple, renowned for its Buddhist statues and richly painted cave interiors. Continue through central Sri Lanka to the cultural city of Kandy.

Day 5: Discover the Cultural Heritage of Kandy Hotel - Castle Hill Bungalow Kandy

Visit the Royal Botanic Gardens in Peradeniya before exploring the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, one of Sri Lanka’s most important Buddhist sites. In the evening, experience a traditional Kandyan cultural dance performance.

Day 6: Scenic Train Journey from Kandy to Hatton - Hotel The Argyle Hatton

Board a scenic hill-country train from Kandy to Hatton. Travel through mountain scenery, tea plantations and mist-covered valleys before arriving in the heart of Sri Lanka’s tea-growing region.

Day 7: Tea Country Experience in Hatton - Hotel The Argyle Hatton

Day 8: Scenic Journey from Hatton to Ella - Hotel EKHO Ella

Continue through Sri Lanka’s highlands towards Ella, travelling through a landscape of tea estates, forested mountains and valleys. Arrive in Ella and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of this popular hill-country destination.

Day 9: Ella Highlights and Journey to Yala - Hotel Jetwing Yala

Visit the famous Nine Arch Bridge and enjoy a walk to Little Adam’s Peak. Afterwards, travel towards Yala, stopping at the Udawalawe Elephant Transit Home along the way.

Day 10: Wildlife Safari in Yala National Park - Hotel Jetwing Yala

Set out on a morning or afternoon jeep safari in Yala National Park. Explore its varied landscapes while searching for elephants, deer, crocodiles, birdlife and other wildlife in their natural habitat.

Day 11: Yala to the Southern Coast - Hotel JH Villa Talpe

Travel from Yala to Talpe on Sri Lanka’s southern coast. Along the way, see the traditional stilt fishermen near Weligama and continue towards the coastal areas of Talpe and Unawatuna.

Day 12: Explore Historic Galle Fort - Hotel JH Villa Talpe

Discover Galle Fort, a historic coastal landmark known for its colonial architecture, atmospheric streets, ramparts, boutiques and ocean views. Return to Talpe after exploring the fort and its surroundings.

Day 13: Talpe to Colombo – Capital City Highlights - Hotel Jetwing Colombo Seven

Travel north along the coast to Colombo. In the evening, visit Gangaramaya Temple and experience the contrasting heritage and modern character of Sri Lanka’s commercial capital. An optional dinner at Ministry of Crab can also be arranged.

Day 14: Colombo and Departure

Spend your final morning exploring the colourful streets and markets of Pettah, depending on your flight time. Afterwards, transfer privately to Bandaranaike International Airport for your departure.
